Katie Bogner comes with 15+ years of experience in eDiscovery and a rich and comprehensive history of working in legal services. As a Relativity Certified Administrator, Relativity Certified User, and Venio Certified Administrator, she leads our Modus Operations team in research, commercial litigation, trial and legal assistance. Prior to working on the vendor side of eDiscovery, Katie worked for various law firms in the Kansas City area giving her insight to the end goal for our clients’ needs.
Katie earned her Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Government form the University of Missouri – Kansas City with minors in Business Administration and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys camping and fishing with her family, and attending Kansas City sporting events.
John is the Chief Information Officer of Modus, providing leadership in the infrastructure and security associated with our big data and analytics services for the legal community. He is in charge of building a new information technology infrastructure for Modus to provide additional resiliency and a high degree of scalability. John’s responsibilities also include augmenting Modus’ information security profile through management practices and the hardening of the production operations environment. His prior experience as a CIO managing large-scale infrastructures and achieving ISO security certifications are contributing to our competitive position in the market.
John is also the founder and CEO of the Triangle Technology Executives Council (TTEC), a nonprofit organization providing education and executive networking/collaboration for the community of CIOs and CTOs in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. In this role, John additionally provided leadership for the Triangle’s CIOs in graduate student mentioning, technology scholarship programs, CIO panels for entrepreneurs and programs allowing senior business leaders to actively support our military veterans. Prior to Modus, John was the owner and CEO of Triangle WhiteHat Services based in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, providing infrastructure architecture and information security certification services for companies such as The Fossil Group in Dallas, Texas/Shenzhen, China, and Network Financial Printing in New York City. John also brings experience as the prior CIO at RTI International and as the CEO at the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina (MCNC) and AuctionBlox LLC.
John enjoys golf, boating and scuba diving preferably all in the Caribbean islands. In his spare time, he builds furniture, is an ardent student of history and archaeology and is writing a book detailing the adventures of his ancestors and their roles in the development of our nation.
Samantha’s experience stems from leadership and operations positions, managing and overseeing programs, organizing strategies and operating at an executive level. She has worked for both local and global companies with a variety of partners and subordinates, leveraging marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, create and grow revenue streams, and initiate partnerships for additional progress.
In her free time, Samantha leverages her knowledge and network to advocate for local and global nonprofits. Samantha also enjoys spending quality family time with her husband, two children and two dogs. When they are not relaxing on a beach or camping, you can find Samantha running along trails, training for races.

Steven is an accomplished executive and thought leader with a 30+ year track record of success that includes CEO, CFO, Director, VP, and multiple Board roles for diverse and successful companies. Broad expertise spanning sales, global operations, M&A, technical innovation, finance, product development, and the critical relationship between strategic and tactical execution. Proven ability to guide turnarounds, raise capital, drive growth and innovation, deliver exceptional customer, employee, and shareholder value, and lead comprehensive corporate transformations.
Steven also serves others through volunteer efforts with high school students, inner city youth, food shelters, and several projects to offset poverty and despair domestically and internationally. Steven is a graduate of Wake Forest University in Business and Computer Science, a scholarship athlete, and has remained faithful to the Pro Humanitate mandate.
Kimberly comes to us with 20+ years of diverse experience in Finance and Accounting, spanning from Global Corporations to small private companies. As she leads the Modus financial team, the primary focus is on ensuring all customers gain value from our people, processes, and technology. Customer success is dependent on optimization of resources, both internal and external. Kimberly brings both the experience and customer facing priorities needed to ensure this success.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Art in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her MBA in Finance at University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, camping, and supporting local charitable programs.
Jessica O’Brien is the Director of our Client Services Teams and has over 14 years of experience. She gained a deep level of understanding of eDiscovery Project Management by starting from the ground up. Jessica has an extensive knowledge of complex workflows, high quality deliverables, and unique configurations. As a Relativity Certified Administrator, she trains her teams in streamlined, repeatable processes that allow for accuracy and efficiency.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Music Ministry. When she is not consulting on projects and assisting her teams – Jessica is a wife and mother of 4. She is passionate about food and cooking and enjoys the challenge of a new recipe. In her spare time, she dabbles in sourdough bread making and is the Vice Coordinator of her Daughters American Heritage Girl troop.
Gabe Wiechman is Executive Vice President of Sales. Gabe’s extensive experience in the eDiscovery industry and years of consultative client relationships provide leadership to the Modus sales team while working closely with the operations teams nationwide. In parallel with executing strategic initiatives to achieve revenue goals and assessing corporate partnerships, Gabe is acutely focused on understanding clients eDiscovery objectives, streamlining efficient and proactive standards to bridge and create sustainable partnerships.
